Our Volunteers our Saturday volunteers


Volunteer Opportunities

Through the ministry of SVDP we feed the hungry,
give drink to the thirsty, clothe the needy, and help
with housing.
If you have a few hours to spare,come join us!
We are in need of volunteers to assist in many ways!
You are welcome to assist with preparing food boxes Friday
mornings or help at the Saturday drive through food distribution
with setup, food bag preparation or assist with the food
distribution to our neighbors.

We also need volunteers for a two hour weekday shift
at theSVDP office to assist our neighbors with financial needs.

Some of our volunteer opportunities:

  • Pick up food at local markets Friday and Saturday mornings
  • Shop for food at local markets
  • Pick up empty boxes at markets
  • Tape empty boxes
  • Pick up boxes of vegetables in Oxnard as needed, pickup truck needed
  • Sort food in pantry as needed
  • Receive food delivery Friday morning and shelve boxes of food
  • Pack food boxes in pantry Friday morning
  • Set up tables and canopies before drive through 7 am Saturdays
  • Sort and pack food at drive through Saturday mornings
  • Distribute food at drive through Saturday mornings 9 to 10:30 am
  • Work in office helping our clients one day per week 10am to noon.
  • Computer input as needed
